Buildings and Television Studios One large building, the Peace Community Centre, is to have the public meeting/worship area converted to a television recording studio, and will be useful for meetings and preaching with a studio audience of up to 600 people. This property is debt-free, but requires the infrastructure development needed for the television project. The Peace ministry has been led by the Lord to take a step of faith, and has now acquired a further property in the Rockhampton Central Business District. It is bank-financed, and needs renovation. It is strategically positioned, its value greater than the purchase price, and is a sound asset. The building is to be used for all the main functions of the television ministry, including administration, and all post-production including editing, graphic design, and distribution. This will be the communication centre for promoting the work, and for responding to the needs of those who enquire from all over the world in response to the message. Writers, producers, counselors, and gospel workers will all labour here for the effectiveness of the television ministry. A future web-based broadcasting channel will operate from this building, which will also house recording studios, including one accommodating a studio audience up to 120 people, and be fully equipped for conferences and ministry schools. There will be small recording sets, and facilities for staff training, administration and management, spiritual leadership, and team building. Professional TV Production Equipment Editing and Post-Production Equipment
Staff salaries are a substantial part of the budget for this kind of mission, because to produce a one-hour TV program, at least 40 hours of editing and post-production work is required. Also needed are technicians and engineers who work with cameras, lighting, and audio. Professional staff, with volunteer team members will also travel for production purposes. The project begins with minimal personnel, but ultimately requires a large team. Offices, Office Staff, and Office Equipment Distribution Broadcasting
Production teams must travel, under the authority of spiritual leadership, to develop the variety of material needed. Of particular importance here is that Peace Australia has an aviation facility which maintains aircraft, and professional pilots are on the staff. 'Peace' has established an aviation capability specifically for mission purposes, believing the Lord required it for a long-term purpose. This now comes to the aid of television production. It would be very expensive to use commercial flights to constantly fly teams of people with lots of equipment all over a vast continent, but by using a combination of road travel and our own aircraft, these costs can be limited. Peace Aviation provides us with the ability to move paid employees, volunteers, and equipment in a minimal amount of time. Rather than spending three or four consecutive days on the road to travel even part-way across Australia, and then three or four days to return, the travel can be minimised to a half-day in each direction. Using our own commercial pilots and aircraft to facilitate the movement of production and ministry teams is a crucial and cost-effective part of the strategy. To produce great television will require an adequate travel budget. Mobile Equipment For every production event, a road crew will be sent in advance of the team members being flown. PCTV will use only a limited number of professional crew - just those specifically needed for professional light, sound, recording, and directing. Teams travelling in the ministry will include many volunteers who love to work for and support the ministry. | ||||
