The Mission

Nothing else is quite like television. It reaches everywhere, gets the attention of most people, generates conversation amongst work colleagues and families for days after a show or event, and most importantly, this medium shapes the values, beliefs, attitudes, and worldview of masses of people of every culture. All over the world it daily speaks, unresisted, into lounge rooms and family life, and into the hearts and minds of adults and children. Even in the poorest nations, and the most undeveloped of villages where there is no running water or modern amenities, and where schools are ill-equipped and families in poverty, there you find television.

At the same time, nothing else is like the Word of God. Wherever it goes it powerfully changes lives, cultures, nations, and the course of history. And it is meant to be taken places, proclaimed and gossiped about and shared everywhere. We are appointed by CHRIST to disciple nations by this Word, and the power of the gospel must be offered to all. He has declared His word will accomplish its purpose!

Thus we have a message that must be taken everywhere; and in television we have a means, a modern one, which reaches easily into homes and lives, everywhere.

Television must be considered a servant for the advance of the Kingdom of Christ; it must be used to bring the Word of God to every corner of the globe; and it must be used to support the faith and witness of Christ's servants, everywhere.

It's time to make a greater use of television.

The call upon Christ's followers will vary greatly, although we will all will be sent to those we can personally see and touch. But there must be those who also hear the call to use other means - to use a world-wide medium - to carry Christ's words to the Body of Christ, and bring the power of the gospel to nations.

And such a call has come!
