After an extended season of prayer in February, 1997, the Lord Jesus appeared to John and gave instructions: "Go to the nations with an apostolic message!" Further, the LORD said, "Remain the leader of the church at home," and "Keep looking into the eyes of Jesus Christ." From that time, the message in John's heart rapidly expanded, and became so extensive it could no longer be just preached. Books would have to be written. The Lord's instruction to remain the leader of the church at home turned out to be a crucial principle of apostolic ministry. In the ensuing years John was led to understand the grace by which a fellowship of believers can be one in heart and mind as God's people. As a result, the 'church at home' has played an integral role in the working out of John's call, walking with him and strengthening his hands in the work he has been given. Peace took a unanimous decision 12 years ago to stand with John to carry the message of Christ to all nations, and resolved to dedicate itself and its finance to this purpose. There have since been further revelations of Christ, and more instructions. In 2002 the word came: "Take this message to Australia," and "This message will change the nation!" Now the message had to be in print, and before the end of the year John's first major work, The Apostolic Revelation, was published. With teams from Peace he then began traveling Australia to teach the message. After teaching in churches and conferences in many places, John sought the Lord with a question. The task was huge, the process slow, and though teaching often, this was reaching relatively few people. "Lord, you have given a huge task. How are we to do this great work?" There came an immediate answer: "Television!" He said. So this is where the covenant God made with him years ago, and the words of Isaiah 55:5, was leading to. Television is a powerful tool by which we will "call nations you know not." And His word assures, "nations that do not know you will hasten to you." We are ready to work so as to build an effective international Christian television ministry for the sake of the body of Christ and the Word of God. But of course, a work like this requires the partnership of many Christian leaders and believers across the globe. Many must become investors and stakeholders, to enable the Word of God to go out to the nations, to empower the apostles whom Christ sends, and to bring the voice of mature fathers to believers throughout the world. The Great Commission Jesus gave us is our mandate and purpose. The old Salvation Army slogan, "Christ for the world; the world for Christ" must be our passion.
